2000s

In 2003, the Metroparks initiated an acquisition plan to establish the Oak Openings Corridor between Oak Openings Preserve and Secor Park. Lewandowski Engineers were busy surveying the multiple parcels they purchased. We were also hard at work in Dundee working on the engine plant there. Big changes in downtown Toledo had a developmental impact on the entire region. Fifth-third Field opened in 2002 for Mud Hens baseball and the Huntington Center opened in 2009 hosting Walleye hockey as well as concerts, rodeo, and other events. Lewandowski Engineers, with an office only blocks away from both venues, enjoyed the new excitement. We also did major work for the renovation of the Toledo Main Library downtown.
